COURSE DESIGN
Why this course is unique
Full
Covers the SE HandbookEvery chapter of the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook, mapped to the exam's competencies.
Linked
Fully cross-linkedTerms, concepts and processes link to their definitions and to every use.
Threaded
Fully threaded running exampleOne system carries the whole course. Every concept is demonstrated on it.
ISO 15288
Modeled on the standardLife cycle, processes and terminology follow ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, which the exam is written against.
Method
Challenge-first, case-basedConcepts are introduced through a problem to solve, then named and defined.
Case Studies
5 fully developed case studiesReal systems from the handbook. Each is worked through in full, then applied in an exercise.
43
Hands-on exercisesTables, matrices and models you build in the course and submit for marking.
1,075
Auto-graded questionsQuizzes and exercises marked as you work, in every part of the course.
2
Timed mock examsA course mock and a full SEP mock. Questions are drawn at random and the clock runs.
Built in
Exam readiness checkYour standing against each exam competency, with the weak ones named.
RUNNING EXAMPLE
Fire Force VI
An autonomous wildfire monitoring and response system of systems: satellites detecting ignition from orbit, drone swarms confirming and tracking a front, ground crews directed by an AI fire warden, and human mission control holding authority over all of it.
A system of systems is the hardest thing a systems engineer is asked to reason about: the parts are operationally independent, managerially independent, and were never designed to work together. Emergence, interface definition, autonomy and authority are not abstractions here. They are the problem.
Every concept in the course is demonstrated on this one system. It is introduced in the first part, and every process, method and analysis after that is shown against it. By the time the course reaches tailoring, digital engineering or the exam, the system is familiar and only the concept is new.

ORGANIZATIONS AND PARTNERS
Teams, resellers, and instructors
Not everybody reading this page is here to take the course themselves.
Train your engineering team
Hold seats for your organization and allocate them as you need, with progress visible to your administrators. Private cohorts can be scheduled for your people alone. Pricing is agreed per organization.
Deliver the course in your region or language under a reseller agreement. You hold the relationship with your learners. We provide the materials, the assessments, the platform and the certificate.
We are looking for experienced systems engineers to lead cohorts, in English and in other languages. The course, the exercises and the assessments already exist. What we need is the practitioner in front of the room.
